RZD International continues to develop humanitarian initiatives in Serbia
It has already become a good heart-warming tradition for RZD International to prepare gifts for children from sponsored schools on the occasion of the Saint Sava Day, which is widely celebrated in Serbia. This year 2300 kids from four schools will get presents as part of the company’s humanitarian program. These include students of the “23 October” school in Sremski Karlovci, a town located on the Stara Pazova – Novi Sad section of the Belgrade – Budapest railway line, which RZD International has been rehabilitating since 2017.

Support of cultural and humanitarian initiatives entirely meets the mission, which the RZD Holding is pursuing both in Russia and abroad. RZD International continues to expand its support of schools located in the company’s regions of operation. Since 2014 RZD International has already repaired and equipped three schools — “Vasa Zivkovic” (Pancevo), “23 October” (Golubinci) and “J.J.Zmaj” (Vranje), as well as organized several competitions for children and youth.

Saint Sava is known to be a patron of schools, education and science in Serbia. Sava’s Day is celebrated every year on the 27th of January as the schools’ adoration day of the Saint.
