Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic visited railway infrastructure objects on the south of the Trans-European transport Corridor X
Yesterday the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic visited the town of Vranje on the south of the country within the election presidential campaign.
Together with the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure M-me Zorana Mihajlovic, Ambassador of the Russian Federation Mr. Alexander Chepurin and other honored guests, the Prime Minister attended the ceremony, devoted to the completion of reconstruction on the Vranjska Banja-Ristovac railway section, performed by RZD International.
The attendees commended the quality of works, emphasizing the performance ahead of schedule, which has become a tradition for the Russian railway specialists.
The officials arrived to the Vranje station by the Russian-manufactured diesel-train after inspection of the new track. Mr. Sergey Pavlov, Director General of RZD International, mentioned that the completion of one more section of the Trans-European Corridor X significantly contributes to the modernization of the main traffic arteries of Serbia and to the increase of its transit capacity. In this regard, the project is under special attention of the Governments of both countries.
The total cost of the project for reconstruction of the six sections of the Trans-European transport Corridor X with the total length of 112 km exceeds 86 million US dollars and is financed from the Russian state export credit.
